Casual Chic Look

I hope everyone had a great long Memorial weekend! We had a lot of family time and got to reflect and pray for those that sacrifice everything for our country. Our family is truly thankful for all the men and women that serve and have served, we couldn't have the lives we do without each of you.

A couple of weeks ago, I shared a more dressy styled outfit with this skirt, but I wanted to share another way to wear it more casually. A basic tee is perfect to add to this skirt with a pair of flat sandals. This has been a comfortable, yet stylish outfit to run around town in. Basically, this skirt is a new favorite of mine, if you can't tell! :)

Quick Nap Time Workout

Some days Ian's naps are a little unpredictable. He may sleep for an hour in the morning, but only sleep for 30 minutes in the afternoon. The AM nap is usually my time to get work done and clean, but I'm more flexible with my time during his afternoon nap. I wanted to share a quick workout that I can do if I just don't have the time to get a full 45 minutes to an hour workout in that day, and it's not one of my normal days to hit up the 11:30AM crossfit class.

5 Rounds for Time of:

10 Push-Ups (or push-ups from the knee)

15 Air Squats

20 Alternating One Arm Dumbbell or Kettlebell Power Snatches  (great movement standard video here)

Must Have Piece for Summer

My favorite way to spice up any dress or even just a casual outfit is a kimono. I wore this outfit to church last weekend and added the kimono so I wasn't in the same old black dress. The one below is old, but I have linked a few of my new favorites from a local Nashville boutique. You definitely need one (or three) in your closet!

Go-To Summer Tank

I recently found this Topshop tank and am obsessed with the color and style of it. I'm already planning my next outfit to wear it with! I love how you can dress it up or down and how lightweight it is. They have it in a ton of colors, and it's only $30!

Little Black Dress

This LBD is simple, yet has gorgeous cutouts on the back. I loved wearing a lace bralette to add even more feminine detail to the outfit. I bought this dress months ago, but this is the first time I've worn it, and I can't wait to wear it again. Although it is new to me, I haven't been able to find it online anymore, so I've linked some fabulous options that are very similar. Also, these shoes are SO comfortable that I even wore them when I was 8 months pregnant with Ian.

Maxi Love

I have been loving this maxi and this fun muscle styled tank. Since the skirt is black, it can go with pretty much any top, which is great! Unfortunately, this top is no longer available on the Show Me Your Mumu website (I've linked some other sites that do have a few left though!), but they do have two different tanks that are the same cut/style, just a different design. In My White Tee

I love wearing basic tees! There are so many different ways you can style them, especially in the spring and summer seasons. I wanted to share three of may favorite looks right now with y'all. And, side note, these jean shorts are some of my favorite. I'm 5'9 and have really long legs, so I usually have a hard time finding any that fit me the way I like, but these are super comfortable and not too too short (even though I wouldn't mind them a little bit longer). The Perfect Vest

Investment Pieces

Today I wanted to share with y'all my favorite "investment piece." I'm not normally one to spend a lot of money on any one piece, and to be completely honest, I was gifted this Virgins Saints & Angels necklace. But, I cannot say enough about how timeless this necklace is. I've had it for a couple of years and have been able to wear it so many different ways. Whether I'm going to a fancy event or just going out to dinner with girlfriends, it goes with just about any outfit. Plus, I love that you can make it short or a long. Although, I haven't been able to find this exact color for y'all, I have linked some similar (and a few others that I love) below. Sunday Best

This past Saturday we decided to hop over to the Opry Mills Mall since it was nasty outside. I always have to go in the J. Crew Outlet there because they have the best deals. I'm so glad I did because I found the perfect skirt for the summer. {Bonus, it's currently on sale for $35.50 online + FREE shipping today only with code: "sneezy").
