30A Vacation Travel Guide

Charlie and I had so much fun last weekend getting away just the two of us. If you saw my Instagram post, you know that I had a lot harder time leaving Ian behind than I thought I would, but it really was  so good to just recharge and connect with Charlie without any distractions.

I hadn't been to the Rosemary Beach area since I was in middle school, and Charlie had never been, so it was fun to pretty much experience a new place together and get to explore. I am pretty sure our whole trip centered around when and where we were going to eat out next meal though! ;) I can honestly say that we had some of THE best food while we were there, and I have shared these restaurants below.
For breakfast we ate at Grits & Grind a few days in a row because we like it so much. It was within walking distance from our condo, and it is so good! We also stopped by the Donut Hole one afternoon and their donuts were delicious, so I definitely recommend grabbing some of those while you're there.
For lunch the first day, we had Crabby Steve's on the beach, and we loved the food, plus the atmosphere was fabulous. It's right on the beach, so you can just walk up and grab a drink or sit down and have some food. The second day I had pizza from Pizza by the Sea and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was also within walking distance from our condo + I had been smelling it everyday, so I had to try it. It definitely did not disappoint! The third day we biked around the town and stopped for lunch at the Summer Kitchen Cafe. Charlie and I both got burgers and they were definitely on the top of my burger list...SO good!
Each of the places we ate for dinner were absolutely outstanding. Neither of us had any meal that we didn't like and were highly pleased with the service at all of them. Our favorite was definitely Surfing Deer. We had their bacon appetizer which was probably some of the best bacon I've ever eaten (and I eat a lot of bacon). Then I ended my dinner with the Crab Cakes...they were the definition of yummy. We got a table outside, and you could see the ocean from our spot. It was just an overall prefect evening. We also ate at George's and La Cocina Mexican Grill. I highly recommend both of those as well. Surfing Deer was a little fancier, and I didn't really see any young kiddos there, but the other two places both had plenty of kids eating there while we were there, which is great if you have your family with you.
I can't leave out dessert. We had ice cream from Smallcakes Cupcakery and Creamery, and Charlie's raspberry was AMAZING! I got the birthday cake one and it was really good, but something about his made me jealous I didn't get it. I also grabbed a snow cone from the stand right out in front of that ice cream shop our last day, and it was delicious too. It took me back to my childhood days. I love me some sweets though, and it hit the spot after we had been riding around on our bikes for a few hours.

All in all, I think we have found our new family vacation spot. There were so many kids of all ages with their families, and it is so easy to get around walking or on a bike. We did rent a car, but mainly because we flew into Panama City and would've had to pay for a cab anyways. I can't wait to go back again soon! I would love to hear your favorite places if you frequent that vacation spot for the next time we visit. P.S. Outfit details to come soon! ;)

Happy Friday friends!

xoxo, Ashley
